some call it backwards. he calls it progress.

Trained as an editor ('02) and a film critic ('09), Mike once built the largest university television network in Canada as a student Exec Producer (BrockTV '07-'11). He then created a $10k film grant (‘09) and co-founded a film festival (Render This FF, ‘10), all before relocating back to Toronto in 2011.

Mike went on to produce & edit a trilogy of feature-length Canadian music documentaries ('12-'14), and shot a fourth about music during the pandemic (‘21). After working in content for tech (‘11), weddings (‘12-13), and news (‘14-’17), Mike’s own production company, Last Frame Pictures, became a full-time pursuit by 2017.

By now, his commercial spots include works for Adidas, Microsoft, Visa, Lexus & Tim Hortons.

He’s crafted music videos for Warner & Universal, and his narratives have been showcased in LA, Cannes, Austin, Venice, & Berlin. Two genre features are expected in 2025 & 2026 respectively.

In addition to filmmaking, Mike also enjoys shooting editorial photography, exploring cities, and finding the perfect cup of coffee.
